I am a 13 year old boy, a Christian. I realize you may be a bit skeptical that I am a good writer, and I assure you, my first stories probably won’t be so good. I am just like any other boy my age, except for the fact that I have accepted Christ into my heart. I consider myself a decent pianist, and a frankly bad guitarist. Is that what it’s called? Guitarist? anyways, yeah. I have been playing the guitar off and on (Mostly off) for about a year and a half, and have been playing the piano for 8 years, except for a single break for one summer.
Anyways, I got a little off track there. My dad is a writer. He hasn’t published anything, and hasn’t written in years, but he used to be a writer, before… I don’t know what happened really. Well anyways, that was my start. Ever since I was a little kid, I liked to write stories. I was a little ball of depression though, because every single one of my 2 paragraph long stories ended in “and they all died, the end.”. Depressing right? Well I have had all sorts of novels in progress since then. Most of them were ideas, and some of them I got a few pages in. The one that I got the farthest in was probably “Ahstalia”. Now I like to read more then other kids. I mean I have been reading since I was 3 and 1/2 and have a rather large bookshelf full of books, and only 1 or 2 of them have not been read more than about 5 times. Crazy huh? Well it’s in my personality.
A few days before I started this (Probably 2/10/12) I listened to the song “City On Our Knees” by tobyMac. I was trying to write a new book called “Matter from Oblivion” It would be my usual story, it would have your protagonist, your bad guy, and your good guy. I liked writing about the dark side of things, as I have always been interested in the evil side. So the main point of the story was “Oblivion” (Notice this reference is what started my first story on here (Light’s Task)) giving his hero a sword made from his essence and use it to corrupt “Light” to his ways. Anyways, that song combined with what I thought was the main point of the series “Lost” (An indirectly Christian show) made me think “Why not start writing a Christian novel?”. Since I always liked a book that was Christian but didn’t PUSH Christianity at you (My favorite was Ted Dekker’s Green, Black, Red, and White.). The exception to this was obviously the Bible itself. (Am I using these reflexive and intensive pronouns correctly?) So I decided that I would start writing those.
Anyways, I guess that all sums it up and you can leave a comment if you want to know more, and if you don’t, feel free to enjoy my stories!
